Buddy reading!

 Hey everyone!

This year Ruru and Kotuku (Kotuko is year 2, and Ruru is year 6 and 5) have been getting together for buddy reading once a week? And today we got told we can blog there writing from athletics and this is her writing (her name is Annabelle L) By the way this is her writing from her book i'm just writing it up on my Chromebook. Please comment on what you think about her writing. (Just being aware shes 6 so shes not going to have top grade writing) Here's her writing:)

Athletics

Yesterday we did athletics. We were brilliant. First we are lined up in house groups and Mustang went with Mrs Hefferman. Mustang was doing sprinting, we were running. Then we did relays, with Mrs Coco and Miss Merial. We were running with a batten. Then we did skipping with Elle. Then we went to the playground. Then we did high jump with Mr Williams. Next we did Frisbee with Mrs Rymen. Then we had morning tea, then we did athletics with Miss Thomason. Then we did discus. Then we did long jump.Then it was lunchtime. Then we did the roll. Then we did shot put. Then we did run, jump, throw. Last we all had a movie. Then it was home time. I thought that it was fun  

Writing-Hideaway

 Hey guys!

This week I started writing a story and i'm really proud of it. I have only wrote one chapter and I have not finished it yet but I really wanted to blog it. I wrote this when we did free writing because we basically did free writing all week. I am  this now because I am waiting for my camp iMovie to finish downloading so I decided to post this while I am writing. If you have any feedback please comment! P.S sorry I haven't posted in a while!

Hideaway

Chapter 1: No time for shoes

“BANG” I woke up with my heart pounding, it sounded like the front door had fallen in. A humming noise traveled through the hallway, followed by loud footsteps banging on the wooden floor. “Thud...thud...thud...” Then silence scattered around. I sat up quickly and looked to my left to see my sister Willow huddled in the corner of her bed shaking with fear. I rapidly got out of my bed and rushed to Willow. But something caught my eye, a letter assigned to me and my sister laying on the floor. I picked it up and I started reading it out loud. “This is your parents, do not muck around! You NEED to escape! Follow the path in the forest at the back of the house and a train is waiting for you. We have been meaning to tell you something our whole lives, we are a part of-” “thud...thud...thud” “we have to go!” I cried. I picked Willow out of her bed and opened the window, the footsteps were getting closer and closer. “Where are you!” a deep scary voice echoed through the walls, “I know you're there!!!” they whispered. I dropped the letter. “Here jump out the window!” I said “what about our shoes!” “There's no time for shoes” I cried once we had both climbed out the window. Me and my sister raced into the forest, disappearing in the trees.

Lockdown Poetry Anthology

 Hey everyone!

As you may know the hole of New Zealand is in lockdown at this very moment. Before lockdown we were working on poetry anthology. For lockdown we had to keep on doing poetry anthology but we had to make a new slide and call it lockdown poetry anthology. I am pretty sure when we go back to school and finish our main poetry anthology we will blog it. For this week we could choose to do a haiku poem or a tongue twister poem. I did a haiku poem on lockdown. Comment what you think about my poem. How do you feel about lockdown?

For the past few weeks me and my writing group have been working on a task we were given by our amazing teacher Miss Lee! 1st we had to choose the picture (setting) then we had to collaborate on our plan after we wrote our 5 senses, then introduce our monsters! and lastly then we rote our problem!!!
