Cicadas Do Maths
(Sorry I have not been blogging a lot of SLJ stuff)
Just letting you guys know that I will try to blog more tasks after Christmas until the new years because I am going to be busy for a while.
Hey everyone!
Activity one: Kick start! I found this activity really fun, it was really cool to think about what I want to do when I get older and who I want to become. It was really cool to think about and to vision what my life would be like! This Kick Start activity was so much fun to do and I really enjoyed it. I recommend trying this activity if you want a nice and calm thing to do. Here is my "When I am 17... " work!
Activity two: Step It Up For this activity we had to make a Cicada life cycle. I found this one easy and hard. This was really fun to learn about, as I literally had no knowledge about Cicadas but now I know what they look like, and other facts about them. I created the cycle on a google drawing. This was really fun to and now I know heaps of facts. For example the main fact I learnt was that shortly after a 17-year old Cicada nymph (a Cicada nymph hatches from an egg) hatches from it's egg it burrows itself into the ground. Where it spends it's first 17 years of it's life excavating tunnels and eating the sap from the free roots. I hope you like my work!
