Subtraction using standard form!

 Hey viewers!

This week for math's, Miss Lee's math's class were doing subtraction using standard form with and without regrouping. Last week we were doing standard form addition with and without regrouping. This was fun to do. At first it was confusing but then it got easier as I did it. This way of working out problems is quick and easy once you learn it. I loved learning how to standard form addition and subtraction. What's your favourite way to work something out? If you see any mistakes tell me!

Standard Form Addition

 Hey everyone.

WALT: Solve addition problems using standard form that require regrouping

Before lockdown we started doing standard form addition. This week we had to keep doing that. I did it on a google slides. This was really fun to do. Do you like to use standard form?

Lockdown Poetry Anthology

 Hey everyone!

As you may know the hole of New Zealand is in lockdown at this very moment. Before lockdown we were working on poetry anthology. For lockdown we had to keep on doing poetry anthology but we had to make a new slide and call it lockdown poetry anthology. I am pretty sure when we go back to school and finish our main poetry anthology we will blog it. For this week we could choose to do a haiku poem or a tongue twister poem. I did a haiku poem on lockdown. Comment what you think about my poem. How do you feel about lockdown?

Born to run

Hey everyone!

WALT: Locate and summarise important information from a range of related texts.

This week I was reading born to run. This book is about a man and he ran about 160 km per week. This week we were still reading things about the Olympics but this was our last week. This was really fun to learn about and the book was really cool to read. The thing I really liked watching when the Olympics were live on tv is the diving. I liked this because the things the people were doing looked really cool and hard. It also looked a bit scary because of how high they were above the ground.

Create task one: This was to choose an Olympian, I did Sarah Walker. Then we had to say why we chose her. This was fun to do because I liked reading about what she did in the Olympics and what medals she won.

Create task 2: For this create task we had to choose a country that was taking part in the Tokyo Olympics and find out facts about it. When we finished we had to write 20 facts about that country and the Olympics. I chose to do Japan! This was fun to do but I found it a bit hard to find facts because it was coming up with all the country's because the country I was doing was where it was held.

Patterns

 Hey everyone!

#WALT 2: Explore patterns in sequences of multiples.

For maths we were doing Walt 2. For this we had to do patterns, the patterns were decimals, fractions and numbers and you had to find the pattern and write down the missing numbers in the pattern. We had 3 sheets we had to do and for the last sheet we had to make our own pattern and blog it. We could choose what we wanted the pattern to be like decimals and fractions etc. I did numbers! This was really fun to do and comment what you think about my work!

What is the rule in the pattern? Did you find it easy or hard??

The Cindy Olympics

 Hey everyone.

As you know at the moment it's the Olympics. This week for reading Ruru's reading was based off of the Olympics. I did The Cindy Olymics. This was about a girl who wanted to do the Olympics so she was practicing but then she broke her leg. This week was really fun but today I was rushed because yesterday I was at zones for winter sports and the day before I wasn't here. I hope you like my working and comment bellow!

Create task 2: For this create task we had to choose a country that is doing a Olympics and write 20 facts about it.
